Cosplay is NOT Consent.
Costume and Cosplay does not equal consent. This applies to any of us at Evolve Pop Culture Expo who is dressed in costume or cosplay and this extends further to any public setting with Outfits does not equal an invitation.
You should always remember that what someone chooses to wear is not consent. Regardless of what someone might be wearing, they may not be comfortable with you taking photos of them. It also doesn't give anyone the right to invade someone's personal space, make inappropriate comments or engage in any form of harassment.
It is always best to ask politely for consent before taking a photo of someone in costume or cosplay, and respect their decision if they choose to say no.There will be photos and videos being taken during the event (e.g. by attendees, photographers, influencers).
Please ask permission before taking any photos/videos of others and respect their right to decline if they choose.

Be mindful of your interactions, stay safe and remember that not everyone in the community has the best of intentions!
It's important to maintain healthy boundaries with content creators, cosplayers, and other community members. While it's natural to feel connected to people you admire, remember that online interactions don't always reflect real-life relationships.
These guidelines are especially important for younger community members (up to age 24/25, when the frontal lobe has fully developed). Always prioritize your safety and wellbeing in all community interactions.
